Cooperation in industry-oriented research in an enlarged Europe:

„Info- and brokerage event in new technologies and materials (FP7/2007: NMP/ICT)”

We are pleased to renew the invitation to participate to the „Info- and brokerage event in new technologies and materials (FP7/2007: NMP/ICT)”, organized by a number of European networks and projects, with the participation of the European Commission and European Technological Platforms. The local organization is provided by the EU project MINOS – EURONET (www.minos-euro.net).
PROGRAMME OF THE EVENT- Draft, version 4 [ here ]  (7th of March, 2007);

• Thursday 22nd of March, morning: info event NMP;   22nd of March, afternoon, evening: brokerage event NMP/ICT;
• Friday 23rd of March, morning and early afternoon: info and brokerage event ICT (combined MINOS-NEXUS event).

- For participants registered with posters for this event – now is available a template on Brokerage members area [ here ]. DEADLINE for submission of the posters 19th of March 2007. The printing of posters is supported by MINOS-EURONET project, with the condition to be registered in databases for partner matching [ here ].

- Grants for participants provided by NEXUS, co-organizer of the Info- and brokerage event on 22-23 March 2007, in Bucharest, Romania offers grants for NMS and Eastern Europe participants.

People interested to apply for a grant should complete as soon as possible a short application form, available here, sign it and send it by fax at +4021 4908238 or by e-mail to Dr. Carmen Moldovan and  Mr. Alan Greatbatch.

If the application is approved, you will receive a confirmation letter. The grant will be reimbursed after performing the travel and will cover transport and accommodation, up to a maximum of 300 Euro per person or 75% maximum of travel/accommodation costs and will be paid upon:
a. Receipt of invoices with appropriate copy of receipts
b. Summary report confirming what benefits were confirmed in establishing themselves as participating in potential future FP7 programmes

Please register first into the Partners matching databases [ here ] for FP7 calls available on the MINOS Brokerage website. The team in charge with event organization may facilitate hotel reservation.

INVITED SPEAKERS. The “info” part of the event will allow the participants to attend presentations of key EC officials: Director Nicholas Hartley, Directorate “Industrial technologies”, DG Research; Dirk Beernaert, Head  of unit “Nanoelectronics”, Directorate “Components, systems and engineering”, DG Information Society and Media; Francisco Ibanez, Deputy head of unit “Micro- and nanosystems”, DG Information Society and Media, European Commission.
Representatives of European technological platforms such as: MINAM/Manufuture (micro- and nanofabrication), Nanomedicine, Nanoelectronics etc. are expected to give presentations. Some networks of excellence (NoEs) and other projects (IPs, CAs) acting as co-organizers will have a time slot for brief presentations of the offer of their consortia for FP7 calls.
